INDIA LAUNCHES MASS VACCINATION PROGRAM TODAY - 300000 VACCINATIONS ON INAUGURAL DAY

16th Jan 2021, the day shall be remembered for long in the history of covid vaccination initiatives when today India is going to start the first largest vaccination drive today. The program shall be flagged off by none other than India's Prime Minister Narender Modi through video conferencing at 1030 AM today.

This pan India drive is supposed to cover the entire length and breadth of the nation.

A total of 3006 session sites across all states and union territories will be virtually connected during the launch. and 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each session site on the D Day.

The vaccination program will be using Co-Win, an online digital platform developed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which will facilitate real-time information about vaccination stocks, storage, temperature, and even individual tracking of beneficiaries.

A dedicated 24x7 call center, 1075 has also been launched to address any queries related to vaccination.

Delhi - 2.74 Lakhs vaccine doses received, 8000 to be vaccinated on day one, 81 sites

Assam - 65 sites

Gujarat 161 sites

Andhra Pradesh - 332 session sites

Telangana - 140 centers

Uttar Pradesh - 31700 health workers to be vaccinated in the first phase

Bihar - 300 centers

Karnataka - 243 centres, ready for 24,300 vaccinations

Odisha ready with 160 session sites
